{I needed a very last minute boarding for my dog and they were more than willing to accommodate quickly and made me feel very comfortable leaving my dog for a few days. They even sent me an update on him (without me asking! 🙂 ) since they knew how nervous I was to leave him. Excellent customer service and most importantly my dog returned to me fed, happy, and with no injuries! I will definitely use City Dogs again for future boarding needs and daycare.

{I have to be careful to wait till right before we leave before I ask George and Gracie “y’all want to go to City Dogs?” Their little ears perk up, they get excited, and if I’m not quite ready to go they start pacing and whining! And this is what they do when I pick them up.

{I am super picky about who I leave my dog with. The staff are all wonderful with dogs and it shows! I always get a happy, exhausted, and well taken care of Mac (my dog) when I pick him up. They also bathe him for me and they do a wonderful job too. They have long hours which is different from any other doggie daycare so you are able to drop off early and pick up late ... comes in handy for those that don’t have normal 8-5 hours. Can’t say enough great things about this place!

{We are so happy to have found City Dogs. We can travel and know that our pups are happy playing all day, safe and well cared for. They have gone to the trouble of hand feeding our picky German Shepherd one time, nurturing our little Boston who thinks she’s a person… it means the world not to have to worry! We know our dogs are their priority. It’s also so fun to see the photos of the dogs playing together on Facebook.

{You cannot put a price on peace of mind but let me tell you, I gladly payed for 5 days of it, inexpensively in my opinion! This place is what you are looking for if you love your dog like family but have to leave them for whatever reason. We just moved to Roanoke from Rochester, New York 3 weeks ago, we know nobody here to watch our gentle giant, Martha. We had an out-of-town funeral, it would have been impossible to take her and she doesn't get around easily anymore. We were not at our best when we dropped her off, having received very sad news, we were still adjusting. Stephanie is a very sympathetic and caring young lady, she put our minds at ease. She sent us pictures and updates regularly. Even upon pick up, we were so exhausted mentally and physically and once again, she put up with our fogged minds so patiently. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of quality care for their furry family members. ❤

{I'm a busy grad student who had an internship in Roanoke. I looked at multiple doggy daycares in the area and decided on City Dogs for a few reasons. 1. No need to book in advance, which allowed me to choose which days to bring her, on the fly. 2. Nice big outdoor area. 3. No collars allowed, for the safety of the dogs. Every staff member I have encountered has been friendly, professional and courteous. My normally insanely active terrier comes home absolutely exhausted, so I can spend my time doing homework instead of trying to tire her out.

{I love City Dogs and Boarding/Playcare. I have been taking my husky Jade there for the past year. I recently started boarding her sometimes due to my crazy schedule as a first responder. They have always gotten back to me about dates and have worked with me on short notice. She is always so excited to go there and doesn't even look back to say bye. The staff is great and they know all the dogs by name. Jade loves to play with the other dogs and is exhausted when she gets home. Highly recommend!

{I've been bringing my "pups" here since they were 12 weeks old, they're currently four years old. This place here was a convenient find for myself and the schedule I had at the time. The staff is selfless and caring, LEGIT dog owners and lovers. They have grown into second parents for my pups and with the new facility I wish them all the business they can handle!

{We boarded our 2 dogs this April and were so nervous about leaving them for a week since they have never been away from home. They did great and City Dogs sent us videos and messaged us during the week which made us feel so much better. We have used the groomer there as well. Highly recommend them for your dogs.

{I came by for a tour over the busy holiday weekend. I was expected to be turned away but thought I'd give it a shot. I was met by a very friendly lady that seemed eager to answer all my questions as well as my husbands. She was genuinely interested in my dogs and was very detailed in answering my questions, i.e., rates, requirements, dogs activities, cleaners used, how often, etc. She then had a very nice gentleman show me a tour of the facility. I feel very confident that my babies will be well taken care of, as I can tell the folks I spoke with are genuine animal lovers and very knowledgeable, and you can tell they love what they do. Thank you very much!

{I wish my dog, Whiskey, could write this review. Whiskey LOVESSSS going to playcare and to "camp" (what we call overnight boarding) at City Dogs. The staff is easy to work with and goes above and beyond to make your pup feel as at home as they can while they are in their care. I appreciate the "play naked" (no collars or harnesses) policy City Dogs has and how safety oriented they are when it comes to the dogs there. Every staff member is certified in dog first aid and dog CPR. They will even send you pictures or videos of your pup playing while they are being boarded. Whiskey KNOWS when we are heading to playcare and gets so excited! I am so appreciative to have this option when we go out of town or just want Whiskey to have a fun day with all of his fur friends!

{We have a great pyrenees 20 months old. I was really nervous to take him and board him. He's never been away from us, I've never board a dog, ever. Well, Alexander had a great time! After three days we picked him up. 😊 I peeked into the windows, he was so excited to see the staff call for him, he didn't know he was going home, he was just happy and wagging his tail and smiling to greet them. I was relieved, seeing him happy to go toward someone else after 3 days, it really relieved my anxiousness. They were so good about setting up this appointment and talking with me and make me feel comfortable about taking him there and they had really good reviews, this is another one! I went ahead and had him bathed and had his nails done and he was fine with that, also he loved being able to run around and play with the other dogs there. Thank you guys for doing an amazing job 💙

{Our boy Banjo is still a puppy and full of energy. He goes to daycare 2-3 times a week and has a blast. When he comes home he’s so tired from playing all day we get a cool and calm puppy. It’s good to know while we are at work he isn’t cooped up by himself all day!!

{Brick was a rescue and had no idea what to do with other dogs. Our trainer at the time suggested City Dogs to help socialize Brick. She assured us that City Dogs watches after them and places them with dogs with the same manners and disposition. I was super nervous dropping him off but we haven’t looked back since! He goes about once a week and is so pumped when it’s play care day. The staff always greets him by name and he is always a tired dog when I pick him up. We love City Dogs!

{Skyler and Max beg to go to daycare! They are always so excited to go, and always come home with smiles on their faces (and exhausted). I am particularly happy with how they treat Max, my old guy. Sometimes he is done playing in group, and makes his own rules of where to hang out. They let him hang out where he feels comfortable. Thank you for being so wonderful to my boys.

{I cannot recommend City Dogs enough! We have two hounds (Chief and Hank!) who both come home happy and exhausted every time they go to city dogs, whether it’s for boarding or daycare. Chief is young and extremely high energy, while Hank is an old couch potato. City Dogs accommodates both of our boys needs. They’re always so excited to load up in the car and go to City Dogs! The staff is also super friendly! They know our boys by name when we drop them off which makes me feel like the staff really cares about our pups. My coworkers have started going to City Dogs because of how much I rave about them! Overall so happy with this place!
